| Spanish abstract | El artículo se propone reflexionar acerca de la filosofía de la tecnología en los procesos educativos del con-texto actual y para responder al objetivo previsto, se ha creído conveniente presentar una aproximación conceptual a la filosofía de la tecnología, explicar los fundamentos filosóficos y algunas características elementales que justifican su presencia; también se realiza un breve recorrido histórico del surgimiento de la tecnología a partir de la técnica presente des-de principios de la humanidad; además, se socializa las percepciones de docentes y estudiantes univer-sitarios (de la ciudad de Quito) sobre la tecnología en el proceso educativo; y finalmente, se reflexiona acerca de los desafíos de la filosofía de la tecnolo-gía en la educación actual. En el devenir histórico-social, el ser humano ha desarrollado habilidades y destrezas, ha encontrado diversas maneras cog-nitivas, técnicas y tecnológicas para transformar al mundo, para mejorar las condiciones de vida y para responder a las nuevas exigencias del contexto que le ha correspondido vivir. En la sociedad actual, la presencia de la filosofía de la tecnología se vuelve indispensable para comprender el sentido de la rea-lidad tecnológica y de sus implicaciones en todos los ámbitos de la existencia humana |
| English abstract | The article aims to reflect on the philosophy of tech-nology in the educational processes of the current context and to respond to the intended objective, it was considered appropriate to present a conceptual approach to the philosophy of technology, to explain the philosophical foundations and some elementary characteristics that justify its presence; a brief histori-cal journey is also made of the emergence of techno-logy from the technique present from the beginnings of humanity; in addition, perceptions of teachers and university students (from the city of Quito) about te-chnology in the educational process are socialized. Finally, it reflects on the challenges of the philosophy of technology in today’s education, in the historical-social becoming, the human being has developed abilities and skills, has found various cognitive, tech-nical and technological ways to transform the world, to improve living conditions and to respond to the new demands of the context that has lived. In today’s society, the presence of the philosophy of technolo-gy becomes indispensable to understand the mea-ning of technological reality and its implications in all areas of human existence |
