| Spanish abstract | El objetivo de este estudio fue demostrar el efecto del uso de lámparas led en el tratamiento de aclaramiento dental en pacientes atendidos en la clínica odontológica de la UCSG en el semestre A-2017. Es una investigación de tipo observacional, en la cual se evaluaron a 28 pacientes y se les realizo el tratamiento de aclaramiento dental. Se observaron los dientes anterosuperiores y se dividieron en 2 cuadrantes, en el cuadrante I se dejó actuar el peróxido de hidrógeno sin la aplicación de lámpara led, y en el cuadrante II se aplicó el peróxido de hidrógeno con luz Led. De los casos estudiados se registró el color inicial en un 36% A2, un 46% A3 y un 18% A3.5.Con un color final posterior al aclaramiento dental un 39% A1 y en un 61% A2. En cuanto a la sensibilidad presente posterior al acla-ramiento con uso de luz LED se evidencio que un 64% de la muestra reflejo sensibilidad de 3 puntos en la escala de EVA. Luego de haber analizado los resultados obtenidos en nuestro estudio concluimos que las lámparas LED no influyen de manera significativa en cuanto al color obteni-do posterior al aclaramiento, sin embargo en cuanto a la sensibilidad si se encontró que el uso de las lámparas led causa mayor sensibilidad que cuando no fueron usadas |
| English abstract | The objective of this study was to demonstrate the effect of the use of led lamps in the treatment of dental clearan-ce in patients attended at the dental clinic of the UCSG in the semester A-2017. It’s an observational research, in which 28 patients were evaluated and were given dental clearance treatment. We observed the anterior superior teeth and divided them into 2 quadrants, in quadrant 1 the hydrogen peroxide was allowed to act without the applica-tion of led lamp. In quadrant 2 the LED light was applied. In the cases studied, the initial color of the evaluated teeth was A2 in 36%, A3 in 46% and A3.5 in 18%. After dental clearance the final color was A1 at 39% and A2 at 61%. As for the present sensitivity after dental clearance using LED light it was evidenced that 64% of the sample reflec-ted sensitivity of 3 points in the EVA scale. After analyzing the results obtained in our study we concluded that LED lamps do not significantly influence the color obtained af-ter the clearance, however in terms of sensitivity it was found that the use of led lamps causes greater sensitivity that when they weren’t used |
