| English abstract | The aim of this text is to approach deafness and show the role of relationality in the constitution of the human condition. Therefore, different theoretical supports are elected from among different approaches: Vygotski, with the notion of social semiotic mediation, and Winnicott, with his psychoanalytical concept of holding environment, referring to language in the potential space. By putting these different voices in a dialogical way, according to Bakhtin, the intention was to verify if the psychoanalytical contributions on the emotional life dynamics, which are found in the primitive relations of a human being, are susceptible of entering the important scientific debate of our days, regarding the constitutive relations of the deaf person. As an illustration, the text refers to the film Children of a lesser God, which focuses the drama and suffering of a deaf person considering the emblematic character of her struggle to affirm her true self |
| Portuguese abstract | Este texto pretende abordar a surdez, afirmando o papel da relacionalidade na constituição do humano. Para tanto, distintos apoios teóricos são eleitos a partir de diferentes abordagens: Vygotski, pela noção de mediação social semiótica, e Winnicott, pelo conceito psicanalítico de ambiente, com alusão à linguagem no espaço potencial. Pondo em dialogia essas diferentes vozes, de acordo com Bakhtin, a ideia é verificar se as contribuições psicanalíticas sobre as vicissitudes da vida emocional, que vigoram nas relações primordiais de um ser humano, são passíveis de penetrar no importante debate científico atual sobre as relações constitutivas do ser surdo. Como menção ilustrativa, o texto faz referência ao filme Filhos do silêncio, enfocando o drama e sofrimento de uma personagem surda, considerando o caráter emblemático de sua luta pela afirmação de um verdadeiro si mesmo |
