| Spanish abstract | Se realizó un estudio patentométrico a nivel mundial, sobre la electroforesis en gel en campo pulsante a partir de las bases de datos Espacenet, FreePatentsOnline y USPTO (oficina de patentes estadounidense). El análisis se enfocó fundamentalmente hacia la determinación de los principales países e instituciones solicitantes de patentes en el sector, así como al comportamiento en el tiempo, desde la primera solicitud. Por otra parte, se analizaron las principales líneas generadoras de patentes, lo cual da una medida de la proyección que manifiesta este sector. Para la realización del estudio, se consultaron las bases de datos: Espacenet, (Servidor de la Oficina Europea de Patentes) FreePatentsOnline (Contiene todas las patentes solicitadas y otorgadas en los E.U.A, desde 1976) y USPTO,( Oficina de Patentes y Marcas de los E.U.A) en el período 1980 -2009, la estrategia de búsqueda, fue la recuperación de las patentes, el procesamiento analítico se realizó en el programa Microsoft Excel, también se utilizó el software Ucinet, producido por Analytic Technologies. Se obtuvieron 44 familia de patentes, que se distribuyen entre 40 instituciones, siendo el Centro Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas (CNIC, Cuba), a través del Centro de Neurociencias, quien lidera las investigaciones |
| English abstract | It was carried out a worldwide patentometric study on pulsing field gel electroforesis (PFGE) based on Espacenet, Free PatentsOnline and USPTO databases. The analysis was mainly based on the determination of the most important countries and institutions which are applicants for patents in the sector, as well as the behavior in time since the first application. On the other hand, there were analyzed the main patent generating lines, which is a sign of this sector projection. The following databases were consulted in order to carry out this study: Espacenet, (Server of the Patent European Office) FreePatents Online (It contains all the patents requested and granted in the U.S.A since 1976) and USPTO, (United States Patent and Trademark Office) in the period from 1980 to 2009. The search strategy was the patent recovery. The analytic process was carried out in Microsoft Excel; it was also used the Ucinet software, produced by Analytic Technologies. There were obtained 44 patent families, distributed among 40 institutions, and the National Center of Scientific Research (CNIC, Cuba), is the leader of this investigation through the Center of Neurosciences |
