| Spanish abstract | El objetivo fue mejorar el proceso de enseñanza – aprendizaje a través del uso de Puzzle en la asignatura inglés en educación básica, en la Unidad Educativa “Luis Cordero” de la ciudad de Azogues. Se trabajó con intervención de pre – test y post – test, aplicado a niños y niñas de cuarto grado. Los resultados obtenidos y que fueron contrastados a través del instrumento estadístico SPSS, en pruebas paramétricas que sometidas a la validación T-Student, dieron índices que permitieron probar que, a mayor uso de Puzzle mejora el aprendizaje en el área de inglés en básica elemental. Se demuestra que la aplicación de estrategias didácticas, como el trabajo colaborativo permite mejorar el rendimiento académico y el proceso de aprendizaje en los niños y niñas, transformándolos en sujetos participativos, creativos, solidarios, idóneos para trabajar en equipo de forma eficaz y eficiente |
| English abstract | The objective was to improve the teaching-learning process through the use of Puzzle in the English subject in basic education, at the “Luis Cordero” Educational Unit in the city of Azogues. We worked with a pre - test and post - test intervention, applied to fourth grade boys and girls. The results obtained and that were contrasted through the SPSS statistical instrument, in parametric tests that, subjected to T-Student validation, gave indices that allowed to prove that, with greater use of Puzzle, learning in the area of English in basic elementary improves. It is shown that the application of didactic strategies, such as collaborative work, allows to improve academic performance and the learning process in boys and girls, transforming them into participative, creative, supportive subjects, suitable for effective and efficient teamwork |
