| English abstract | This article suggests an inquiry about reproductive work and the way in which the female social experience is built around it. With this intention, a reading and dialogue between two reference authors within feminist theory is proposed: on the one hand, the French Luce Irigaray, who, through a critical review of the canonical discourses of the West, will explore the construction of femininity outside the realm of sexual identity to enable the emergence of a perspective that is indebted to différance. On the other hand, the work of the Italian American Silvia Federici, who from a historical perspective has highlighted the links between the capitalist mode of production and patriarchal domination, showing that the image of women as those responsible for the tasks of the home expresses the subsumption of the female body and its reproductive capacity to capital, achieved by a violent process of original accumulation. On this dialogical scene, the article concludes in favor of the political claim of wage remuneration for domestic work as a mimetic act aimed at reversing the patriarchal symbolic order and highlighting the constitutive contradictions of capitalist social relations. |
| Spanish abstract | Este artículo sugiere una indagación sobre el trabajo reproductivo y la forma como se construye en torno a él la experiencia social femenina. Con esta intención, se propone una lectura y puesta en diálogo de dos autoras de referencia dentro de la teoría feminista: por un lado, la francesa Luce Irigaray, quien, a través de una revisión crítica de los discursos canónicos de Occidente, explora la construcción de la feminidad por fuera del terreno de la identidad sexual para habilitar la emergencia de una perspectiva deudora de la différance. Por el otro, la obra de la italoamericana Silvia Federici, quien desde un enfoque histórico ha puesto en evidencia los eslabonamientos entre el modo de producción capitalista y la dominación patriarcal, demostrando que aquella imagen de la mujer como la responsable de las tareas del hogar expresa la subsunción del cuerpo femenino y su capacidad reproductiva al capital, logrado por un proceso violento de acumulación originaria. Sobre esta escena dialógica, el artículo concluye en favor de la reivindicación política de la remuneración salarial para el trabajo doméstico como un acto mimético orientado a reversar el orden simbólico patriarcal y poner en evidencias las contradicciones constitutivas de las relaciones sociales capitalistas. |
