| Spanish abstract | El presente texto es fruto de una in-vestigación hecha con fuentes primarias. En él se mostrará cómo, en el afán de enseñar y transmitir la historia nacional, algunos maestros y la misma Academia Colombiana de Historia han recurrido a métodos menos convencionales que las «clases magistrales», la lectura de libros, las convenciones y otros parecidos. En el caso concreto se verá cómo la versificación o el uso de láminas de colec-ción de álbum han cumplido la función de enseñar y transmitir. | English abstract | This text is the result of an investi-gation made with primary sources. It will show how, in an effort to teach and trans-mit national history, some teachers and the Colombian Academy of History itself have resorted to less conventional methods than «master classes», reading books, conven-tions and the like. In the specific case, it will be seen how the versification, or the use of album collection plates have fulfilled the function of teaching and transmitting. For this reason, the text will include many sam-ples of both techniques of teaching history |
