English abstract | Through architecture, we can investigate a new architectural ethic which interposes itself with reality in an attempt to transform it. Such an ethic could investigate and parsue living with dignity, appropriate housing, and a desperately-needed architecture for those most in need and marginalised at a global level; those who are always excluded from what we know as the ‘establishment’ of present-day architecture. This globalised neo-liberal reality compels us to produce a formula whereby the architect, through help to build (or rebuild) the necessity of human living. Through a compromising investigation, an attainable technology, dialogue-based urban planning and looking towards an ‘alternative’ way of planning the city, neighborhood or house; we will seek an appropriate, livable architecture, which addresses a public space and a city, and which integrates its citizens, in ‘Rights of the City-Dweller’ |
