| Spanish abstract | El estudio, que hace parte de una investigación sobre las percepciones que tienen los docentes rurales sobre de las Tecnologías de la Información y Comunicación, deja entrever la acción transformadora de éstas tecnologías en la educación rural y la importancia de que los docentes adopten los cambios tecnológicos no solo desde un punto de vista instrumental sino desde su apropiación cultural. A través del enfoque de investigación cualitativa se recogió la información con base en grupos focales e historias de vida, donde se rastrearon las distintas apreciaciones sobre los cambios que se generan con las TIC. |
| English abstract | This study aims to characterize the various perceptions of a group of teachers of rural institutions over the use of ICT in their teaching practices. Qualitative research approach was used. Research design was based on a case study, and focus groups and life stories as data collection techniques were used. An interpretive exercise was conducted with content analysis on emerging texts, investigating emerging categories. The population being studied was constituted by rural teachers aged between 24 and 58, with a sample of 50 individuals from educational institutions of Boyaca and Cundinamarca. One of the conclusions is the importance of recognizing teachers as political subjects, and as subjectivity bringing power. It follows, then, the importance of greater autonomy and decision making abilities on curricular content as a strategy to channel fears and strength change desires |
