Spanish abstract El acceso a la información pública ha sido abordado cada vez más por académicos de diferentes campos. En Brasil y España, el número de estudios sobre este tema está creciendo. En este sentido, se tiene el objetivo de presentar el estado del arte de las producciones científicas publicadas entre enero de 2009 y diciembre de 2019 en el contexto brasileño y español. Como objetivos específicos, buscamos comprender la incidencia de publicaciones por año; determinar los enfoques y tipos de investigación adoptados; analizar el índice de publicación por tipo y alcance; Conocer a los autores, los lugares donde se han publicado los estudios y las áreas de conocimiento involucradas. La metodología adoptada se caracteriza por un enfoque cualitativo y cuantitativo, de naturaleza exploratoria y bibliométrica. Los resultados muestran un aumento en las publicaciones después de la promulgación de leyes de acceso en Brasil y España. Además, señalan que el acceso ha sido tratado de manera interdisciplinaria por diferentes autores, bajo diferentes perspectivas y contextos, que merecen ser (re) conocidos y profundizados por profesionales de la información
English abstract The access to public information has been increasingly addressed by students from different fields. In Brazil and Spain, the number of studies on this theme is growing. In this sense, the objective is to present the state of the art of scientific productions published between January 2009 to December 2019 in the Brazilian and Spanish context. As specific objectives, we seek to understand the incidence of publications per year; ascertain the approaches and types of research adopted; analyze the publication index by type and scope; know the authors, the places where the studies have been published and the areas of knowledge involved. The methodology adopted is characterized how qualitative and quantitative, exploratory and bibliometric. The results show an increase in publications after the enactment of access laws in Brazil and Spain. In addition, they point out that access has been approached in an interdisciplinary way by different authors, under different perspectives, areas and contexts, which deserve to be known and deepened by information professionals
