| Spanish abstract | Para el desarrollo de esta investigación, se aplicó como principal herramienta, el enfoque prospectivo mediante la adaptación de la metodología de escenarios propuesta por Michel Godet para analizar la situación económica, ambiental, política, social y tecnológica de la producción de bioetanol y biodiesel en Guatemala. Se aplicaron diferentes técnicas y paquetes estadísticos como: la matriz DAFO, los métodos MIC-MAC, MACTOR, SMIC y el MULTIPOL, los cuales fueron utilizados en las diferentes fases del Método de Escenarios Como resultado del procesamiento de la DAFO, se determino que la ubicación de la problemática se encuentra entre la posición adaptativa y la ofensiva. Luego, se determinaron las variables claves y estratégicas del sistema, los actores de mayor influencia, los posibles eventos de futuro y el escenario por el que apuestan los expertos. En la fase final del método se presentaron las políticas y acciones estratégicas que deben implementarse para lograr el escenario apuesta, que permitirán impulsar el desarrollo sostenible de esta producción en Guatemala |
| English abstract | The principal instrument used in this investigation is the method of prospective analysis adapting the methodology proposed by Michel Godet to analyze the economic, environmental, political, social and technological aspects involved in the production of bioethanol and biodiesel in Guatemala. Different techniques and statistical packages were also applied such as the SWOT matrix, the MIC-MAC, MACTOR, SMIC y el MULTIPOL methods which were used in the different phases of the prospective analysis method. As result obtained from the investigation the biofuel production is founding between the adapted and offensive strategy position. Afterwards, the key variables, the key strategies of the system, the most influential actors, the possible future event and the most favorable event proposed for the future by the experts were determined. In the final phase of the method, policies and strategic actions that would permit the sustainable development of biofuels production were proposed in order to achieve the desired future result in Guatemala |
