| Spanish abstract | El objetivo principal de la investigación fue estimar desde el punto de vista agroclimático las zonas aptas potenciales para el cultivo de caña de azúcar en la provincia de Sancti Spíritus. La delimitación de estas zonas se generó a partir de la información del clima (temperatura y lluvia) para ello se emplearon 180 puntos, lo que coinciden con los pluviómetros que trabaja el Instituto Nacional de Recursos Hidráulicos (INRH) ubicados en toda la provincia, de los cuales se tienen datos promedios de lluvia de 40 años (1961- 2000) y a los que se les estimaron los valores promedios de temperatura, empleando datos históricos de 33 años (1977-2009) de registros en las estaciones meteorológicas del territorio, con esta información se estimaron los índices de satisfacción de las necesidades hídricas y de los grados días de desarrollo del cultivo mediante las necesidades biofísicas del cultivo. Para la salida de los mapas se empleó el programa Surfe v 8.0, con el método de rejilla Kriging. Como resultado se logró un mapa de aptitud agroclimática de la caña de azúcar para la provincia de Sancti Spíritus, con algunas recomendaciones para su uso, tanto para cultivos comerciales como para otros usos que incluye ganadería, mejoramiento genético del cultivo y otros |
| English abstract | The main objective of the investigation was to estimate from the point of view agroclimático the areas capable potentials for the cultivation of sugarcane in the Sancti Spíritus province. The delimitation of these areas was generated starting from the information of the climate (temperature and rainfall) for they were used it 180 points, they coincide with the pluviometers that the National Institute of Hydraulic Resources (NIHR) works located in the whole county, of which data averages of 40 year-old rainfall (1961-2000) and to those that were estimated the values averages of temperature, using historical data 33 years old (1977-2009) of registrations in the meteorological stations of the territory, with this information they were considered the indexes of satisfaction of the necessities hídricas and of the grades days of development of the cultivation by means of the biophysical necessities of the cultivation. For the exit of the maps the program Surfe v 8.0 was used, with the grill method Kriging. As a result a map of aptitude agroclimática of the cane of sugar was achieved for the county of Sancti Spíritus, with some recommendations for its use, so much stops commercial cultivations as for other uses that it includes cattle raising, genetic improvement of the cultivation and others |
