| English abstract | The systematization of information related to the submerged heritage and their beaches, by means of the Archeology of Aquatic Environments, allows a better appraisal of such cultural heritage. It focuses on the maritime and fluvial landscape and it assists in the definition of short and/or long term strategies for a thorough understanding, protection and management of the aforementioned legacy. The present text is the outcome of the efforts both to discuss the beach through the theoretical-methodological apparatus of Underwater Archaeology and to develop research arguments, methods and approaches supported in the Maritime Landscape and the Brazilian Legislation producing a critical scenario about the patrimony in beach environments of coastal cities at a regional level |
| Portuguese abstract | A sistematização das informações pertinentes ao patrimônio submerso e de suas respectivas praias através da Arqueologia de Ambientes Aquáticos permite um melhor dimensionamento desses bens culturais – de ambiente cultural marítimo e fluvial – e ajuda na definição de estratégias, de curto e/ou longo prazo, para o conhecimento aprofundado, para a proteção e para a gestão dos mesmos. Este texto é o resultado do esforço em problematizar a praia a partir de um aparato teórico-metodológico da Arqueologia de Ambientes Aquáticos e construir argumentos, métodos e abordagens de pesquisa apoiados na Paisagem Marítima e na Legislação Brasileira produzindo um cenário crítico sobre o patrimônio em ambientes praiais de cidades litorâneas a nível regional |
