| English abstract | This work aims to analyze the lines of scientific research in Brazilian Underwater Archeology between 1970, the beginning of research with the archaeological in Brazilian waters, and 2014, the year in which 21 years of academic archaeological research were completed, including Brazil Officially in the international scene of underwater archeology. To understand the development of the development of underwater archeology in the country, showing, above all, the themes are privileged in the evolution of the works, through bibliographic research and documentary analysis, producing quantitative results. It was verified that despite the growth in other themes, the Wreck Sites are still the most studied by Underwater Archeology in Brazil |
| Portuguese abstract | Este trabalho tem por objetivo analisar quais as linhas de pesquisa científica na Arqueologia Subaquática Brasileira, entre 1970, o início das pesquisas com viés arqueológico em águas brasileiras, e 2014, ano em que se completou 21 anos de uma pesquisa arqueológica acadêmica, incluindo o Brasil oficialmente no cenário internacional da arqueologia subaquática. Para alcançar tal propósito, foi necessário analisar o desenvolvimento da arqueologia subaquática no país, mostrando, sobretudo, quais temas são privilegiados na evolução dos trabalhos, por meio de pesquisa bibliográfica e análise documental, produzindo resultados quantitativos. Constatou-se que apesar do crescimento em outras temáticas, os Sítios de Naufrágios ainda são os mais estudados pela Arqueologia Subaquática no Brasil |
