| English abstract | This is the first translation of the second “Preface” to The Development of Memory into Portuguese. The text, written in 1932, outlines a brief self-criticism of the authors regarding some ideas of instrumental psychology which based Leontiev’s research supervised by Vygotsky. The authors review topics such as the importance of age in memorization, and the maintenance of the “inferior” in the “superior” forms of memory, offering an important contribution to the study of “memory/memorization”, and “sense” |
| Portuguese abstract | O presente texto consiste na primeira tradução do segundo “Prefácio” do livro O Desenvolvimento da Memória para a língua portuguesa. Tal texto, escrito em 1932, esboça uma breve autocrítica dos autores com relação ao ideário de psicologia instrumental existente no livro prefaciado, o qual perpassou a pesquisa de Leontiev, orientada por Vigotski. Os autores revisam tópicos como a importância da idade na memorização e a sobrevivência de formas “inferiores” nas formas “superiores” de memória, traçando importantes contribuições acerca dos conceitos de “memória/memorização” e de “sentido” |
