| English abstract | The conditions of women scrapers’ work are perverse. To identify the problems of their activities, 130 scrapers of cassava were interviewed in rural area of Pernambuco. The results showed the difficulties faced by these women due to bad working conditions and humiliating remuneration, which requires government specific actions, which may contribute to the development of the sector in the region |
