| English abstract | The article maps images found in the “Fashion” segment of the Brazilian Veja Magazine, during the redemocratization period in Brazil (1980’s). This was an age of hot-blooded thoughts of freedom and change. All fashion in Veja Magazine shows that such thoughts were not regarding every aspect in life. Regarding people’s wardrobe choices, fashionists had the objective of updating and maintaining a clear distinction between men and women through their clothes and their bodies, turning fashion away from the androgynous wardrobe of the 1960’s and 1970’s |

A moda divulgada na Veja mostra que tal vontade não era destinada a todas as questões. Sobre as escolhas do vestir, todo um discurso foi sendo pensando com o objetivo de atualizar a manutenção da distinção entre homens e mulheres por meio da vestimenta e de seus corpos, distanciando a moda dos modelos fluidos e andróginos propostos nas décadas de 1960 e 1970 |
