| Spanish abstract | La construcción del templo de San Francisco Javier, perteneciente al Colegio Jesuita de Tepotzotlán, se llevó a cabo des-de 1670 y se concluyó a expensas del patronazgo de Pedro de Medina Picazo y su madre, Isabel Picazo Hinojosa, a par-tir de 1679 y hasta 1682, año en que fue dedicado. Renovado a lo largo del siglo xviii, el templo ha tenido diversas etapas constructivas y ornamentales. A la luz de nuevas evidencias obtenidas in situ y a un minucioso análisis comparativo a ni-vel documental, ha sido posible comprender de mejor forma la historia de este complejo jesuita |
| English abstract | The construction of the church of San Francisco Javier, part of the former Jesuit school of Tepotzotlán, began in 1670 and was concluded with the support of Pedro de Medina Picazo and his mother, Isabel Picazo Hinojosa from 1679 to its dedication in 1682. Renovated throughout the eighteenth century, this church underwent diverse construction and or-namental stages.
