| Spanish abstract | El presente es un ejercicio de reflexión sobre el desarrollo rural en México. El objetivo ha sido destacar elementos primordiales en las políticas usadas en contra y a favor de los campesinos, algunas de las cuales son de carácter populista. Se enfatizó en cómo el populismo ha servido de práctica y de ideología para la acción del estado. Existe una vasta literatura al respecto que se justifica al haber sido México el primer país latinoamericano en tener una revolución agraria en 1910. Se resalta la impronta que ha dejado esta línea de pensamiento en la historia reciente de México y las formas que ha tomado de acuerdo a intereses políticos coyunturales. Su persistencia a pesar del agresivo giro de las políticas liberales se explica por la naturaleza de las raíces que lo sustentan |
| English abstract | The present is an exercise of reflection on the rural development in Mexico. The aim has been to emphasize basic elements in the policies used in favor or against the peasants, some of them with populist character. It emphasized how the populism has been used as practice and as ideology for the action of the state. The vast existing literature on the topic is justified due to the fact of being Mexico the first Latin-American country in having an agrarian Revolution in 1910. It highlighted the form in which this line of thought has contributed to the recent history of Mexico and the shapes that it has taken, in agreement to political conjuncture interests. In spite of the aggressive draft of the liberal policies, its persistence owes to the nature of the roots that sustain it |
