| Spanish abstract | Este artículo trata de la impresiones de Le Corbusier en su visita a la ciudad de Bucarest y sus alrededores, como parte de su conocido Viaje de Oriente. Aquí se narran las aventuras que el joven Le Corbusier vivió en Bulgaria entre el 16 y el 22 de junio de 1911. El autor comenta los dibujos del maestro y sus hallazgos más relevantes: las casas populares en los alrededores de la ciudad, la búsqueda de pinturas del Greco, perdidas en lo alto de los Cárpatos. Nos narra la desilusión del joven frente a los palacios de los reyes búlgaros y el descubrimiento de la exquisita sensualidad de las mujeres de Bucarest, así como su elegante indumentaria, que le recuerda la moda parisina. Finalmente el autor nos describe el encuentro de Le Corbusier con jóvenes y consagrados artistas locales y la visita a los sencillos y elocuentes monasterios de la región de Caldarushani. Una intensa travesía que sin duda nos señala la vital importancia que el viaje de estudios tuvo para el maestro suizo |
| English abstract | This article is about Le Corbusier’s impressions during his visit to Bucharest city and its outskirts, as part of the well known Journey to the East. It tells the adventures that took place at Le Corbusier youth in Bulgaria, from June 16th to 22nd, 1911. The author comments the teacher’s drawings and his more prominent findings: the popular houses in the city outskirts happened during the search of Greco paintings, presumed lost in the Carpatos. The author introduces us to the disappointment of the young Le Corbusier in front to the palaces of Bulgarian Kings, and the discovery of the exquisite sensuality of Bucharest’s women, as well as their elegant clothing that recalls him the Parisian fashion. Finally the author relates us the encounter of Le Corbusier with some of young and even consecrated local artists, and also the visit to the simple and eloquent monasteries of Caldarushani region.
