| Spanish abstract | Este artículo es un acercamiento al estudio histórico de la biblioteca de una destacada figura de la diplomacia y de la política mexicana de la primera mitad del siglo XX, don Isidro Fabela Alfaro. El objetivo de esta investigación es conocer y analizar el patrimonio bibliográfico que fue conformando a lo largo de su vida el político mexiquense y que se conserva de forma prácticamente íntegra en la biblioteca del fideicomiso del Banco de México que lleva su nombre. El estudio histórico del fondo de la biblioteca, según propone este artículo, permitirá describir ciertos aspectos del universo intelectual y mental de don Isidro Fabela y proponer una semblanza intelectual del mismo |
| English abstract | This article is an approach to the historical study of Isidro Fabela Alfaro’ Library, one of the leading figures in Mexican politics and diplomacy of the first half of the twentieth century. The objective of this research is to know and analyze the bibliographic heritage that was formed by this Mexiquense and which is preserved in a practically complete manner in the Library that bears his name. The historical approach to the Library allows us to describe certain aspects of the intellectual and mental universe of Isidro Fabela and propose an intellectual semblance thereof |
