| Spanish abstract | El artículo enfoca una de las estrategias del memorialismo frente al fantasma que pone en entredicho la veridicción: la alusión que se hace a la presencia o ausencia de objetos que disparan un recuerdo y en ocasiones tienen la pretensión de funcionar, al mismo tiempo, como prueba y testigo de los hechos tal como son referidos. Con base en los textos de dos autobiógrafos mexicanos, Ciro B. Ceballos y Juan de Dios Peza, se muestra la construcción de ese tipo de escenas como una especie de miniaturas del afán central de todo autobiógrafo: la recuperación de un pasado muerto, por medio de la evocación. Para ello se estudian los textos y la circunstancia de su publicación desde las consideraciones teóricas de Philippe Lejeune, Paul de Man y Paul Ricoeur |
| English abstract | This paper focuses on one of the strategies common to the writers of memoirs in front of the stance that argues against the truthfulness of the genre, it is to say, the reference to the presence or absence of objects which raise up a memory working occasionally at the same time as both proofs and testimonials of the facts as they are being referred. Based on the writings of Mexican autobiographers Ciro B. Ceballos and Juan de Dios Peza, this paper aims to show the making of these kind of scenes as some sort of miniatures of the main purpose of every autobiographer, which is the recovery of a dead past through evocation. In order to do this we analyze the texts in light of their circumstances of publication based on the theoretical approaches of Philippe Lejeune, Paul de Man and Paul Ricoeur |
