| Spanish abstract | El feminismo ha producido un amplio rango de críticas tanto a la teoría política liberal como a la ciencia moderna. En este trabajo distinguimos entre las versiones "reformistas" y las versiones "rupturistas" de dichas críticas. Mientras las versiones reformistas sostienen que el objeto de la crítica será más consistente con sus propios principios si incorpora la perspectiva feminista, las versiones rupturistas detectan problemas irresolubles en los principios originales tanto del liberalismo como de la ciencia moderna, abogando en consecuencia por su superación. El artículo concluye que la crítica feminista al liberalismo y a la ciencia es una herramienta que permite desentrañar la racionalidad común entre dos proyectos intelectuales con objetivos distintos, el primero normativo y el segundo epistémico, pero conectados en su aspiración de elaborar reglas, adjudicar desacuerdos e interpretar la realidad desde una posición pretendidamente "objetiva", "universal", "abstracta" e "imparcial" |
| English abstract | Feminism has produced a wide range of criticisms of both liberal political theory and modern science. In this paper we distinguish between the "reformist" versions and the "radical" versions of these criticisms. While the reformist versions maintain that the object of criticism would be more consistent with its own values to the extent it incorporates the feminist perspective, the radical versions spot unsolvable problems in the set of values of both liberalism and modern science, thus advocating for their replacement. The paper concludes that the feminist critique of liberalism and science is a tool that unravels the common rationality between these two intellectual projects, though with different objectives. The former normative and the latter epistemic, are nonetheless connected in their ground aspiration to elaborate rules, adjudicate disagreements, and interpret reality from a supposedly "objective", "universal", "abstract" and "impartial" position |
