| Spanish abstract | Este artículo plantea una reflexión epistemológica acerca de la verdad en el arte a partir de la neo-ciencia, que no pretende la obtención de verdades absolutas, sino sólo aproximaciones a la verdad. Se analizan algunos enfoques del siglo XX para la interpretación de las obras artísticas, como la iconología de Panofsky, la semiótica, el psicoanálisis, el estructuralismo, el post-estructuralismo, la deconstrucción de Derrida, las teorías hemeneúticas de Heidegger y Gadamer, así como la hermenéutica simbólica de Ortiz-Osés. Se concluye que las teorías hermenéuticas contemporáneas aportan el método más adecuado para la lectura de la obra de arte, al permitir la interpretación de su complejo tejido estructural y acceder a su sentido existencial y simbólico |
| English abstract | This article poses an epistemological reflection about the truth in art, starting from neo-science, which does not aspire to obtain absolute truths, but only approximations to the truth. Some twentieth-century approaches to interpret artistic works are analyzed, such as Panofsky’s iconology, semiotics, psychoanalysis, structuralism, post-structuralism, Derrida’s deconstruction, Heidegger’s and Gadamer’s hermeneutics, as well as Ortiz-Osés’ symbolic hermeneutics. It is concluded that contemporary hermeneutic theories offer the most adequate method to read the artwork, by permitting the interpretation of its complex structural network and having access to its existential and symbolic sense |
