| English abstract | This article pertains to the historical aspects of research, education, training, and technology transfer of the architecture and earth construction. The first part of this article presents a summary of the background of the construction techniques, the research involving this subject, as well as some of the entities that have collaborated with the technological development in Ibero-America; it also presents the technological progress throughout time, focusing on its guidelines. The second part of this article displays peculiarities of the educational system, differentiating formal education and training, and correlates important educational centers that have contributed for the education of professionals in Latin America. This article also presents a summary of the work performed by Cyted, as well as the contribution by the Project and by the Ibero-american network Proterra in the technology transfer. Finally, this article reflects upon the technology transfer and, based on the background from the authors and the Proterra work, prioritizes the characteristics of the transfer team, presenting a brief description of this team |
| Portuguese abstract | El presente artículo hace una aproximación histórica a la investigación, formación, capacitación y transferencia de la tecnología de la arquitectura y la construcción con tierra. Se resumen los antecedentes de las técnicas y las investigaciones, y se citan entidades que han aportado al desarrollo tecnológico en Iberoamérica; también presenta sus distintos avances, destacando las directrices que se desarrollarán. Resalta particularidades de la formación distinguiendo aspectos de la educación y la capacitación, y relaciona importantes centros de formación que contribuyen en dicha tarea en América Latina. Se sintetizan las acciones del cyted y el aporte del Proyecto y Red Iberoamericana Proterra en la divulgación y transferencia de la tecnología. Se reflexiona sobre la transferencia de tecnología y, con fundamento en la experiencia de las autoras y del trabajo de Proterra, enfatiza las características del “transferidor” o del equipo de transferencia. Por último, presenta un breve perfil del tipo de persona o equipo que realiza este trabajo |
