| Spanish abstract | El tema de las independencias americanas ha sido tradicionalmente estudiado por las historiografías americanas y europeas de manera amplia. Originalmente, esas historiografías se focalizaron en los aspectos ideológicos y políticomilitares de los movimientos de independencia; posteriormente, desde la perspectiva estructural y tomando como base los presupuestos teóricos del positivismo y el marxismo, se centraron en la incidencia de los factores socioeconómicos y el influjo ideológico de las primeras revoluciones liberales en la génesis y desarrollo de la crisis de las sociedades coloniales americanas a finales del siglo XVIII y principios del XIX. Hoy en día, en cambio, el tema ha continuado estudiándose desde una perspectiva estructural, pero poniendo el énfasis en el análisis del influjo del imaginario sociocultural de la modernidad, en el despliegue de una nueva sociabilidad y en la difusión de los conceptos del liberalismo y la teoría constitucional, como motores de los procesos de emancipación |
| English abstract | The subject of American independences has traditionally been studied by the American and European historiographers in an ample way. Originally, those historiographers focused on the ideological and military-political aspects of the independence movements; later on, from a structural perspective and taking as it bases the theoretical budgets of Positivism and Marxism, they concentrated on the incidence of the socioeconomic factors and the ideological influence of the first liberal revolutions in the genesis and development of the crisis of the American colonial societies at the end of the in xviii century and beginning of the xix century . Nowadays, however, the subject has continued to be studied with a structural perspective, but putting the emphasis in the analysis of the imaginary socio-cultural influence of modernity, in the unfolding of a new sociability and in the diffusion of the concepts of liberalism and the constitutional theory, as motors of the emancipation processes |
