| Spanish abstract | Dentro del análisis regional realizado por Arvelo en el Valle de Quíbor, Estado Lara, (Arvelo 2000, 2002), se han identificado diferentes tipos de ocupaciones a lo largo de la secuencia cronológica que abarca los períodos de contacto y postcontacto. En este trabajo presentamos un estudio intrasitio en el yacimiento LJ114 del Valle de Quíbor, donde se realiza un análisis de contexto, tomando en consideración la identificación de la cultura material presente en el sitio y la distribución de esta en el espacio. Este estudio permitió observar la organización interna del sitio arqueológico, distinguiendo tres ocupaciones temporalmente distintas y sus posibles áreas de actividad |
| English abstract | In her regional survey of the Quíbor Valley, Lara State, Arvelo (2000, 2002), identified different types of occupations corresponding to pre-Hispanic and post-contact periods. In this paper we present the results of a contextual analysis of the material culture recovered at one of the sites documented in this survey: LJ114. The analysis revealed spatial patterns that allowed us to differentiate domestic activity areas corresponding to at least three different temporal occupations at the site |
