| English abstract | The objective of this paper to discuss the relationship among new technologies and work, problematizing the different dimensions among organization and control of the work. Our focus consists of analyzing, starting from a case study accomplished in the section of tobacco in Uberlândia/ MG among 2005-2007, how a group of new qualifications and abilities disputed by the companies is implicating in a increase of worker's autonomy in the factory ground and reverting the extreme division among concepttion and execution of the work, pillar of the pattern of accumulation taylorist-fordist or if, to the opposite, they potentiate, through new mechanisms, the control of the capital on the work. Initially we considered the work and of the formation of the workers at the light of the Marxist theory for, soon afterwards, put in question the issue of the science and of the technology as main productive force, concluding with the discussion of the introduction of the innovations in the industry of tobacco |
| Portuguese abstract | O objetivo do trabalho é discutir a relação entre novas tecnologias e trabalho, problematizando as diferentes dimensões entre organização e controle do trabalho. Nosso foco consiste em analisar, a partir de um estudo de caso realizado no setor de fumo em Uberlândia/MG entre 2005-2007, até que ponto um conjunto de novas qualificações e habilidades demandadas pelas empresas está implicando em maior autonomia do trabalhador no chão de fábrica e revertendo a extrema divisão entre concepção e execução do trabalho, pilar do padrão de acumulação taylorista-fordista. Ou se, ao contrário, potencializam o controle do capital sobre o trabalho. Inicialmente consideramos o trabalho e a formação dos trabalhadores à luz da teoria marxista para, em seguida, problematizamos a questão da ciência e da tecnologia como principal força produtiva. Concluímos com uma discussão sobre a introdução das inovações na indústria de fumo |
