| Spanish abstract | El bloqueo interatrial, también conocido como síndrome de Bayés, es un trastorno de conducción secundario a un retraso o bloqueo a través del fascículo de Bachmann. Su diagnóstico es electrocardiográfico y se realiza ante la presencia de una onda P ≥ 120 ms en el plano frontal. Se clasifica en parcial y avanzado. La presencia de bloqueo interatrial traduce cardiopatía estructural y se ha asociado al desarrollo y recurrencia de arritmias supraventriculares, principalmente aleteo y fibrilación auricular. | English abstract | Interatrial block, also known as Bayés syndrome, is a conduction abnormality secondary to delay or block through the Bachmann’s bundle. Its diagnosis is performed with a surface electrocardiogram in the presence of a P-wave ≥ 120 ms in the frontal plane, and can be classified in partial or advanced. The presence of interatrial block translates structural cardiopathy and has been associated with the development and recurrence of supraventricular arrhythmias, especially atrial flutter and atrial fibrillation.
