| Spanish abstract | La frase del título es del poeta y novelista Robert Graves. Ésta nos alerta sobre los diversos puntos de vista contrastantes que rodean a los niños: creemos que ellos ven de una manera específica y limitada pero tal vez lo hacen de una forma distinta, más clara que la de los adultos. Al considerar cómo entienden los niños sus lecturas, dichos puntos de vista se manifiestan: por un lado, la lectura infantil se debe restringir bajo la visión de ciertos adultos que aseguren una guía moral; por otro, los niños le brindan a su lectura una perspectiva moral única. El ensayo aquí presentado muestra la panorámica sobre la Filosofía para Niños, explica cómo los niños pueden aportarle a su propia lectura un discernimiento filosófico único |
| English abstract | The phrase that gives title to this article is by the poet and novelist Robert Graves. It alerts us to the contrasting views we have on children: we believe that they see in a limited fashion yet perhaps more clearly than adults. In considering how children understand what they read the contrasting views play themselves out: on the one hand, children’s reading should be constrained by the adults to ensure moral guidance; on the other, children bring to their reading a unique moral perspective. This paper draws on the Philosophy for Children movement to explain how children can bring to their reading unique philosophical insights |
