| Spanish abstract | Objetivo: Identificar si la falta de información anticonceptiva es un factor asociado al embarazo en las adolescentes. Se realizó un estudio, transversal en adolescentes de doce y 19 años que acudieron a un Hospital de 2º nivel, especializado en ginecología y obstetricia de la ciudad de Xalapa, del 22 al 30 de noviembre del 2005. Resultados: se entrevistaron a 72 adolescentes: 60 embarazadas y doce sin antecedentes de embarazo. No se encontraron diferencias significativas en la información anticonceptiva de ambos grupos, (calificaciones de 5.45 y 5.91 respectivamente, en una escala del 1 al 10); sin embargo, sí se hallaron diferencias en relación a los temas, observando gran disparidad en los resultados obtenidos, acerca de la información que tienen sobre existencia de métodos anticonceptivos y el uso correcto de los mismos, además se encontró que la calificación general de información anticonceptiva aumenta en relación al nivel de escolaridad que tienen las adolescentes |
| English abstract | Objective: To identify if the lack of contraceptive information it is a factor associate to the pregnancy in the adolescents. It made a crosssectional study in adolescents of between 12 to 19 years was made that went a Hospital of 2 level, specialized in gynecology and obstetrics of the City of Xalapa city from the 22 to the 30 of November of the 2005. Results: they interviewed 72 adolescentes: 60 pregnant and 12 without pregnancy antecedent. They were not significant differences in contraceptive information of both groups (qualifications of 5,45 and 5,91 respectively, in a scale from the 1 to the 10); however, if they discover differences in relation to the subjects, observing great disparity in the results obtained, on the information that have on existence of contraceptive methods and the correct use of such, in addition was that the general qualification on contraceptive information increases in relation to the schooling level that has the adolescents |
