| Spanish abstract | En este texto se estudia la lectura que Derrida lleva a cabo de la obra de Paul Celan, desde Schibboleth (1986) hasta el seminario La bestia y el soberano (2001-2003), prestando especial atención a las nociones de “testimonio” y “secreto”. Así, se comprueba cómo Celan es un interlocutor de gran importancia para Derrida, quien no se limita a desarrollar un mero comentario hermenéutico que extraería el sentido oculto de sus poemas, sino que experimenta en la poesía de Celan la aporía de la memoria y de la lectura, la im-posibilidad del testimonio en el poema y por tanto la necesidad de la afirmación imposible del duelo y de la traducción. De este modo, la relación entre Celan y Derrida se comprende como tarea de lectura infinita, es decir, como una tarea por la justicia y por la promesa. |
| Portuguese abstract | Este texto estuda a leitura que Derrida realiza da obra de Paul Celan, de Schibboleth (1986) ao seminário A Besta e o Soberano (2001-2003), dando especial atenção às noções de “testemunho” e “segredo”. Assim, verifica-se como Celan é um interlocutor-chave de Derrida, que não se limita a desenvolver um mero comentário hermenêutico que extrai o sentido oculto dos seus poemas, mas experimenta na poesia de Celan a aporia da memória e da leitura, a impossibilidade de testemunho no poema e, portanto, a necessidade da afirmação impossível do luto e da tradução. Deste modo, a relação entre Celan e Derrida compreende-se como tarefa de leitura infinita, isto é, como uma tarefa pela justiça e pela promessa. |
| English abstract | This paper tackles the lecture carried out by Derrida of Celan’s work, from Schibboleth (1986) to the seminar The Beast and the Sovereign (2001-2003), focusing on the concepts of “testimony” and “secret”. Thus, it is showed how Celan is a major interlocutor to Derrida, who does not develop just a hermeneutical reading which may take out the concealed meaning of his poems but experiences in Celan’s poetry the aporia of memory and of reading, the im-possibility of the testimony in the poem and so the necessity of the impossible affirmation of mourning and translation. In this way, the relation between Celan and Derrida is understood as task of endless lecture, that is to say, as a task for justice and for promise. |
