| Spanish abstract | La Cordillera de Guaniguanico es un sistema montañoso del oeste de Cuba, que se extiende desde el centro occidental de la provincia Pinar del Río hasta el área occidental de la provincia Artemisa. La integran la Sierra del Rosario y la Sierra de los Órganos. Por la importancia de esta cordillera se realizó el estudio de la diversidad florística de los espermatófitos, helechos y licófitos por familias, géneros, táxones infragenéricos y endemismos según su distribución en la Sierra del Rosario y Sierra de los Órganos. El inventario florístico arrojó un total de 159 familias, 645 géneros y 1208 táxones infragenéricos, de ellos 399 son endemismos. El total de táxones representan 17.3% de la flora del país. Las familias representadas con un mayor número de táxones infragenéricos fueron Fabaceae, Poaceae, Rubiaceae y Asteraceae que incluyen 25.4% del total de especies. Los géneros con mayor número de táxones infragenéricos fueron Eugenia (25), Tillandsia (16), Scleria (14), Paspalum (13) e Ipomoea (12) |
| English abstract | The Cordillera de Guaniguanico is a mountain range of western Cuba that spans from the center-west of Pinar del Río Province to the western area of Artemisa Province. It is formed by the subranges of Sierra del Rosario and Sierra de los Órganos. For the importance of this cordillera is carried out the study the floristic diversity. It is presented the list of spermatophyta, ferns and lycophytes according to family, genera, infrageneric taxa, endemic and their distribution in Sierra del Rosario and Sierra de los Órganos. The floristic diversity that is represented 17.3% Cuban flora. The floristic inventory of Guaniguanico comprises 159 families, 645 genera and 1208. Infrageneric taxa, of them 399 identified as endemic. The families Fabaceae, Poaceae, Rubiaceae and Asteraceae have the highest number of infrageneric taxa; they hold 25.4% of the total species.
