Spanish abstract El desarrollo de una Interfaz de Programación de Aplicaciones (API) es una tarea muy activa actualmente, sin embargo, algunos lenguajes de programación tienen muy escasas APIs para el desarrollo de sistemas basados en ontologías, tal es el caso del lenguaje de programación PHP. Por tal motivo, esta investigación propone OWL-PHP, una API sencilla para desarrollar sistemas basados en ontologías con el lenguaje PHP. La API se enfoca en explotar la información de la estructura de la ontología y en los individuos de la misma. Este proyecto explica el diseño e implementación de la API para posteriormente probar algunas funcionalidades de la aplicación con el objetivo de mostrar el alcance en esta etapa de la investigación. English abstract The development of an Application Programming Interface (API) is currently an active task. However, some programming languages have few APIs for developing systems based on ontologies, such as the PHP programming language. For this reason, this research proposes OWL-PHP, a simple API to develop systems based on ontologies with the PHP language. The API focuses on exploiting information on the structure of the ontology and on the individuals of it. This project explains the design and implementation of the API; we tested some functionalities of the application with the aim of showing the scope at this stage of the investigation
