| Resumen en español | El colapso de la producción de arroz en el estado de Morelos es uno de los resul-tados de la implantación de políticas neoliberales en el campo. Sin embargo, exis-ten causas adicionales que lo agravan. Este trabajo sostiene que una de ellas es la débil organización de los ejidatarios que cultivan arroz. Para fundamentar esto, se presenta una refl exión sobre las etapas que ésta ha vivido desde los años veinte, cuando los ejidatarios asumieron el cultivo. Es posible concluir que, exceptuando el intento de Rubén Jaramillo en 1926, ellos nunca han logrado construir una organización autónoma, sino que han permanecido sometidos a los intereses del Estado y empresarios privados, contradictorios con los suyos |
| Resumen en inglés | The collapse of rice productionin the State of Morelos is one of the results of the implementation of neoliberal politics in the agricultural sector. However, there are additional factors that have worsened the situation. This paper argues that one of them is the weak organization of the ejidatarios who grow rice. To substantiate this, his paper refl ects on the stages that the ejidatario organization has gone through since the twenties, when the ejidatarios fi rst began to cultivate this crop. It is pos-sible to conclude that, except for Rubén Jaramillo’s attempt in 1926, they have never been able to build an autonomous organization, but have remained subject to the interests of the State and private entrepreneurs, which are contradictory and harmful to their own |
