Resumen en inglés The objective of this article is to identify the challenges faced by organizations in Latin America, for the period 1975-202, within the framework of the organizational strategic management process. For this, a bibliometric analysis is applied using the Web of Science database (Core Collection) and EBSCO, following the SciMAT (Science Mapping Analysis Tool) v1.1.04 methodology. The sample is limited by performing a descriptive and multiple correspondence analysis for the period 2016-2021. The results show 414 articles for the period 1975-2021, and 17 categories of challenges are identified, of which 57.8% state that the main challenges will be health, literary, educational, internationalization, and human rights, among others. Where 75.72% was applied only to Latin America and of which 88.15% is written in Spanish, and in 59.83%, the main author is male. In addition, applying a multiple correspondence analysis, it is discovered that there is an association between the type of challenge, the application of the study, and the gender of the primary author. It is concluded that necessary to deepen the knowledge of the challenges faced by organizations in Latin America and that these post-pandemic challenges should be taken up again when the normalcy stage begins.
Resumen en español El objetivo de este artículo consiste en identificar los desafíos enfrentados por las organizaciones en Latinoamérica, para el periodo 1975-2021 en el marco del proceso de dirección estratégica organizacional. Para ello, se aplica un análisis bibliométrico utilizando la base de datos Web of Science (Core Collection) y EBSCO, siguiendo la metodología SciMAT (Science Mapping Analysis Tool) v1.1.04. Posteriormente, se acota la muestra realizando un análisis descriptivo y de correspondencias múltiples para el periodo 2016-2021. Los resultados arrojan 414 artículos para el periodo 1975-2021 y se identifican 17 categorías de desafíos, de los cuales, el 57,8% plantea que los principales retos serán sanitarios, literarios, educacionales, de internacionalización y sobre derechos humanos, entre otros. Donde el 75,72% se aplicó sólo a Latinoamérica y de los cuales el 88,15% se encuentra escrito en español y en el 59,83% el autor principal es hombre. Además, aplicando un análisis de correspondencias múltiples se descubre que existe asociación entre el tipo de desafío, la aplicación del estudio y el género del autor principal. Del estudio se concluye, que es necesario profundizar en el conocimiento de los desafíos enfrentados por las organizaciones en Latinoamérica y que estos desafíos postpandemia deben ser retomados cuando se inicie la etapa de normalidad.
