| Resumen en inglés | The article shows discursive constructions of professional women and male doctors, providers of private assistance services in Mexico, about the groups they assist. The objective was to show and interpret the ways in which professional women and doctors from two institutions unfavorably construct institutionalized girls and low-income patients when they talk about their people, origin and characteristics. Semi-structured interviews and field notes selected from two qualitative investigations were used to later be analyzed and interpreted theoretically. Of the constructions, one appeared, managed by the professional women, about the girls whom they characterize as disorderly infants, which, by supporting it in victim codes, ends up transmitting the idea of these as unfortunate for having experienced shocking family events in their lives. On the other hand, among the constructions expressed by male doctors, there is the one that places patients as deprived subjects, which ends up instilling the idea of suffering economic and educational insufficiencies. It was concluded that, even when they present and even when it is not their interest, the unfavorable discursive constructions handled by the professional women and doctors on the subjects they assist, end up instituting the idea that are individuals different from the rest of society. |
| Resumen en español | El artículo muestra ciertas construcciones discursivas de mujeres profesionales y médicos varones, prestadores de servicios de asistencia privada en México, sobre los grupos a quienes asisten. El objetivo fue evidenciar e interpretar las formas en cómo, las profesionales y médicos de dos instituciones, construyen desfavorablemente a niñas institucionalizadas y pacientes de escasos recursos cuando hablan de sus personas, procedencia y características. Se manejaron entrevistas semiestructuradas y notas de campo seleccionadas de dos investigaciones cualitativas, para, posteriormente, ser analizadas e interpretadas teóricamente. De las construcciones, apareció una, manejada por las profesionales, sobre las niñas asistidas a quienes caracterizan como infantas desordenadas, la cual, al sustentarla en códigos de víctimas, termina transmitiendo la idea de estas como desafortunadas por haber vivido distintos sucesos familiares impactantes en sus vidas. Por otro lado, entre las construcciones expresadas por los médicos se presenta la que ubica a los pacientes como sujetos carenciados, que termina infundiendo la idea de padecer insuficiencias económicas y formativas. Se concluyó que, aun cuando presentan diferencias argumentativas y aun cuando no es su interés, las construcciones discursivas desfavorables, manejadas por las profesionales y médicos sobre los sujetos a quienes asisten, terminan instituyendo la idea de que son individuos diferentes del resto de la sociedad. |
