| Resumen en español | Los acontecimientos suscitados el 18 de octubre de 1945, representan el desenlace abrupto de un período histórico y político que había iniciado con la irrupción de un grupo de andinos que terminarían derrocando al presidente Ignacio Andrade, para establecer una estructura hegemónica que encontrará su punto de consolidación con el general Juan Vicente Gómez y su agotamiento en la figura de Isaías Medina Angarita derrocado el 18 de octubre de 1945. De aquel suceso derivan una serie de documentos vitales para entender el período 1945-1948, entre ellos el discurso del 30 de octubre de 1945, pronunciado por Rómulo Betancourt. La presente investigación traza sus objetivos alrededor de la comprensión y análisis de las motivaciones y objetivos de la revolución de octubre a través de la declamación hecha por Betancourt aquel 30 de octubre |
| Resumen en inglés | The events provoked on October 18, 1945, represent the abrupt consequence of a historical and political period that had begun with the irruption of a group of Andeans that ended up overthrowing president Ignacio Andrade (1899), in order to establish a power structure that would find its consolidation point with general Juan Vicente Gómez and its end in the figure of Isaías Medina Angarita, who was overthrown on that October day. A series of vital documents attributed to that event help us understand the 1945-1948 period (el Trienio), among them the speech pronounced by Rómulo Betancourt on October 30, 1945.
