| Resumen en inglés | The purpose of the present study is to offer a reflection about the theme of inclusive education. At first, we will establish what is generally understood as education, based on the article nr. 205 of the Brazilian Constitution of 1988. Secondly, we will write about the concept of education and its necessary links with ethics and citizenship. Then, we will specifically discuss the inclusive education and its development throughout the History. We will deal with the legislation on special education and its key implications on education, based mainly on the Brazilian Constitution, but also on ordinary laws, such as the Law of Ordinance and Bases of Brazilian Education and the Brazilian Statute of Childhood and Youth. In order to lead to a conclusion, we will debate inclusive education and the equity principle |
| Resumen en portugués | O presente artigo tem por objetivo trazer à reflexão o tema da educação inclusiva. Inicialmente, procuramos esclarecer o que se entende por educação, com base no artigo 205 da Constituição Federal. Discorremos a seguir sobre o conceito de educação, atrelado à ética e à cidadania. Passamos a dissertar, especificamente, sobre o que se entende por educação inclusiva e seu histórico. Tratamos da legislação sobre educação especial e seus reflexos na educação brasileira, eminentemente à Constituição Federal, mas também à legislação infraconstitucional, como a Lei de Diretrizes e Bases da Educação e o Estatuto da Criança e do Adolescente. Debatemos, afinal, a educação inclusiva e o princípio da igualdade |
