| Resumen en inglés | The review on the topic of anterior uveitis is performed because of the high frequency of acute anterior uveitis in Guantánamo and in the country. Disease that represents the third cause of visual deficit in the average age of the life, affecting individuals of both sexes and of all the ages and whose etiopatogenia is uncertain. In the present work we propose an approach to the diagnosis of this ophthalmological disease, its main complications and its association with the HLA-B27 antigen. |
| Resumen en español | Se realiza la revisión sobre el tema uveítis anterior, por la frecuencia tan elevada de la uveítis anterior aguda en Guantánamo y en el país. Enfermedad que representa la tercera causa de déficit visual en la edad media de la vida, afectando a individuos de ambos sexos y de todas las edades y cuya etiopatogenia es incierta. En el presente trabajo se propone un acercamiento al diagnóstico de esta enfermedad oftalmológica, las principales complicaciones de la misma y su asociación con el antígeno HLA-B27. |
