| Resumen en inglés | A study is done in the library at the policlinic "4 de Abril" Guantanamo during the year 2012, with the objective of doing the historical review of the above mentioned institution of information. The beginnings are recalled the creation of the same one and the work carried out during this period. The following variables are analyzed: years of its foundation, potential users, given services, types of libraries, type of shelves, diversity of the funds and documents, user's category, achievements; as well as its functioning and structure of the same one; up to the present. The classic documentary analysis and the bibliographical review are the used methods and the source of seeking information, through interviews applied to workpeople of the information and founders- users of the unit of Medical care that contributed to histories and anecdotes. |
| Resumen en español | Se realiza un estudio descriptivo retrospectivo prospectivo longitudinal, de la biblioteca del Policlínico Universitario "4 de Abril" de la provincia de Guantánamo durante el año 2012, con el objetivo de realizar la reseña histórica de dicha institución de información. Se rememoran los inicios de creada la misma y la labor desempeñada durante este período. Se analizan las siguientes variables: años de creada, usuarios potenciales, servicios prestados, tipos de bibliotecas, tipo de estantería, diversidad de los fondos documentarios, categoría de usuario, logros; así como su funcionamiento y estructura de la misma; hasta la actualidad. El análisis documental clásico y la revisión bibliográfica son los métodos empleados y la fuente de obtención de los datos, a través de la entrevistas realizadas a los trabajadores de la información y a usuarios fundadores del la unidad de Asistencia Médica que aportaron relatos y anécdotas. |
