| Resumen en inglés | This article describes the results of the research «Validation of the DN CAS test, its linguistic and cultural adaptation for Costa Rica», conducted by the Professional Master's Degree in Psycho-pedagogy at State Distance University (UNED). The main objective was to approach the linguistic and cultural validation of the test by applying it to the population of 5 to 17 years and 11 months of age in the country, identifying words that were not understandable by that population and observing student behavior when solving the test. The research is quantitative in nature and takes a descriptive approach, detailing the results of the application of the DN CAS test. The PASSS theory was used as the basis for the development of the research, and it was identified that the test fulfills the purpose of evaluating both the cognitive and emotional processes of students and can be a useful tool in detecting learning difficulties according to the PASS theory cited in this document. Therefore, it is concluded that, if the linguistic adaptations identified in this research are made, the DN CAS test can be applied to the Costa Rican population within the suggested age ranges. |
| Resumen en español | Este artículo describe los resultados obtenidos de la investigación «Validación de la prueba DN CAS, su adaptación lingüística y cultural para Costa Rica», realizada por la Maestría Profesional en Psicopedagogía de la Universidad Estatal a Distancia (UNED). El objetivo principal, fue hacer un acercamiento a la validación lingüística y cultural de la prueba mediante de su aplicación a la población de 5 a 17 años y 11 meses del país, identificando palabras que no fueran entendibles por esa población y observando conductas del estudiantado al resolver la prueba. La investigación es de corte cuantitativo, la cual toma un carácter descriptivo, donde se detallan los resultados de la aplicación de la prueba DN CAS. Como base para el desarrollo de la investigación se utilizó la teoría PASSS e identificó que la prueba cumple con el propósito de evaluar tanto los procesos cognitivos y emocionales del estudiantado y puede ser una herramienta útil en la detección de dificultades del aprendizaje de acuerdo con la teoría PASS citada en este documento. Por tanto se concluye que, si se realizan las adaptaciones lingüísticas identificadas en esta investigación, la prueba DN CAS puede ser aplicada a la población costarricense, en los rangos de edad sugeridos. |
| Resumen en español | Cet article décrit les résultats obtenus de la recherche «Validation du test DN-CAS, son adaptation linguistique et culturel pour le Costa Rica» menée par le Master Professionnel en Psychopédagogie de l"Université de l"État à Distance (UNED). Cette étude avait pour but de réaliser une approche à la validation linguistique et culturel du test à travers sa mise en place dans la population d"entre 5 à 17 ans et 11 mois du pays, en identifiant les mots qui n"ont pas été compris par ce groupe et en observant leurs comportements au moment de résoudre l"épreuve. Il s"agit d"une recherche quantitative à caractère descriptif qui détaille les résultats de l"application du test DN-CAS. Pour ce faire on a utilisé la théorie PASS laquelle a fournit la base pour le développement de la recherche et a identifié que le test remplisse l"objectif d"évaluer les processus cognitifs et émotionnels des étudiants, ainsi qu"il peut être un outil utile dans la détection des troubles d"apprentissage selon la théorie PASS citée dans cet article. De ce fait, on a conclu que si les adaptions linguistiques identifiées dans cette recherche sont faites, le test DN-CAS peut être appliqué à la population costaricienne dans les groupes d"âges suggérés. |
