| Resumen en inglés | This article presents the partial results of the research titled «Reintegration Process of Human Trafficking Victims in Costa Rica». An exploratory study that questions the social intervention carried out with the victims of this crime and their reintegration process, within the framework of the execution of the Comprehensive Care Strategy and resource mobilization for victim-survivors of human trafficking and their dependents: integration, reintegration, repatriation, voluntary return, and resettlement (hereinafter referred to as the Social Care Strategy) during the period 2018-2021. It is undeniable that the characteristics and dynamics of the phenomenon require institutional actions at all stages of the trafficking cycle (recruitment, transportation, exploitation, detection-rescue or escape, and reintegration). However, this article focuses on the intervention with survivors accredited by CONATT (abbreviations in Spanish for Coalición Nacional Contra el Tráfico Ilícito de Migrantes y la Trata de Personas) in the reintegration phase. To achieve this, the article characterizes the social intervention within the framework of the mentioned strategy, tracing the evolution of the trafficking component's care in the country. Based on this trajectory, the article concludes that it is important for the victims to have permanent access to a platform of state services and resources during the reintegration phase. |
| Resumen en español | Este artículo presenta los resultados parciales de la investigación denominada «Proceso de reintegración de las víctimas de trata de personas en Costa Rica». Un estudio exploratorio que interroga acerca de la intervención social realizada con las víctimas de este delito y su proceso de reintegración, en el marco de la ejecución de la Estrategia de Atención Integral y de movilización de recursos de apoyo para las víctimas-sobrevivientes de la trata de personas y sus dependientes: integración, reintegración, repatriación, retorno voluntario y reasentamiento (en adelante, Estrategia de Atención Social) durante el periodo 2018-2021. Es innegable que las características y las dinámicas del fenómeno demandan acciones institucionales en todas las etapas del ciclo de la trata (captación, transporte, explotación, detección-rescate o fuga y reintegración). Sin embargo, este artículo se focaliza en la intervención con las sobrevivientes acreditadas por la CONATT (Coalición Nacional Contra el Tráfico Ilícito de Migrantes y la Trata de Personas) en la fase de reintegración. Para ello, caracteriza la intervención social en el marco de dicha estrategia, recuperando el proceso de evolución del componente de atención de la trata en el país. A partir de esta ruta, el artículo concluye que es importante para las víctimas contar con acceso permanente a una plataforma de servicios y recursos estatales durante la fase de reintegración. |
