Resumen en español gerentes con altos valores en el comportamiento organizacional tienden a mostrar altos valores en la motivación de los docentes de Educación Superior de manera débil
Resumen en inglés The main purpose of this research was to determine the relationship among organizational behaviour of educational managers and teachers’ motivation of Universidad Rafael Belloso Chacín (URBE), Maracaibo Municipality, Zulia state and Universidad Nacional of Panama. To achieve this purpose, a descriptive field type study was done, adopting a non sperimental, transversal design. Sample was constituted by 30 teachers and 10 managers of Universidad Rafael Belloso Chacín and 20 teachers and 8 managers of Universidad Nacional de Panamá. A 48-items questionnaire with three alternatives of response was applied. After validating by 5 experts, a pilot test was applied in order to establish reliability through Alph Cronbach method, resulting a highly reliable instrument in its final version with values of rtt= 81 for managers and 85 for teachers. Instruments were applied, calculated and analyzed through descriptive statistics. Likewise, a frequency distribution table was constructed for the analysis. It was concluded that among managers of Universidad Rafael Belloso Chacín exists a weak negative correlationship in the studied variables. Therefore, these can be interpreted as managers with high values in organizational behaviour show low values when motivating university teachers. This means that among managers’ organizational behaviour and URBE teachers’ motivation exists a weak negative correlationship. According to the Universidad Nacional of Panama managers’ opinion, there exists a medium negative correlationship. Meanwhile, it was detected that there exists weak positive correlationship among managers’ organizational behaviour and teachers’ motivation in both universities. Hence, managers with high values in organizational behaviour tend to show weakly high values in university teachers’ motivation
