| Resumen en español | Nos hemos ocupado en la disertación que hoy se publica, de una institución que tuvo una significativa influencia dentro del campo de la cultura jurídica argentina en general y en particular en el desarrollo del estudio del pasado del derecho argentino, cuya existencia se debe en gran medida al tesón con que Ricardo Levene planeó la necesidad de su creación a las autoridades de la entonces Facultad de Derecho y Ciencias Sociales, accionar que llevó a que su Consejo Directivo dispusiera su fundación. También se destaca la incansable y acertada labor que ejerció en su gestión como director del Instituto de Historia del Derecho Argentino del cual fue titular desde su fundación hasta su fallecimiento. La eficaz actividad del maestro llevó a ese centro de estudio a ser pionero entre los dedicados a la investigación del pasado jurídico y a ubicar en un primer plano a la historiografía jurídica argentina |
| Resumen en inglés | In the dissertation that is published today we have dealt with the history of an institution which had a significant influence within the field of Argentine legal culture in general and in particular in the development of the study of the past of law in Argentine. This institution existence is due, to a great extent, to the tenacity with which Ricardo Levene presented the necessity of its creation to the authorities of the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences. As a consequence of his petition the Directive Council made the arrangements for its foundation. It is also outstanding Levene´s tireless and successful work in the management of the institution, where he was holder since its foundation until his death. The effective activity of Levene allowed this center of study to be considered as a pioneer among those dedicated to the investigation of the legal past and it also placed the Argentine legal historiography in the foreground |
