| Resumen en inglés | This article analyzes human rights and the environment as they relate to human security, starting from the evolution of the concept of security to the multidimensional perspective adopted internationally. Based on the dimensions of human security, especially the dimension of environmental security, it studies its interrelation with human rights. To this end, it analyzes the framework principles on human rights and the environment set forth by the United Nations in 2018, which establish the states" main obligations in terms of human rights, related to the enjoyment of a safe, clean, healthy, and sustainable environment. It concludes that these framework principles are key to harmonizing and highlighting the interrelationship of human rights and the environment. |
| Resumen en español | Este artículo hace un análisis acerca de los derechos humanos y el medio ambiente en relación con la seguridad humana, a partir de la evolución del concepto de seguridad hasta alcanzar la perspectiva multidimensional adoptada en el plano internacional. A partir de las dimensiones de la seguridad humana, especialmente la dimensión de la seguridad ambiental, se estudia su interrelación con los derechos humanos. Para ello se analizan los principios marco sobre derechos humanos y medio ambiente planteados por Naciones Unidas en 2018, que establecen las principales obligaciones de los Estados en cuanto a los derechos humanos, relacionadas con el disfrute de un medio ambiente seguro, limpio, saludable y sostenible. Se concluye que estos principios marco son claves para armonizar y destacar la interrelación de los derechos humanos y el medio ambiente. |
