| Resumen en inglés | On the present study are presented the results of the research that had the objective of analyze the process of construction and consolidation of Science and Technology (C&T) in Brazil, between the decades of 1970 and 1990. From the analysis of a series of the documents deposited in the Museum of Astronomy and Similar Science (MAST) – scientists personal and institutional files –, it was possible identifying that the campaign of preservation of the scientific heritage organized by the group of researches from the National Observatory, which culminated in the creation of the MAST, it was the conducting wire to pointing the detachment of the public powers with the Science and Technology matters, that way like the movement of the groups linked to the Science and Technology in front of public policies for that area during the process of change negotiated for the return of Brazil to the democratic regime. As a result, we conclude that the construction of the scientific heritage was related to the statement of the Science and Technology like fundamental to the economic, politic and social growth of the country. |
| Resumen en portugués | Nesta tese apresentam-se os resultados da pesquisa que teve por objetivo analisar o processo de construção e consolidação da Ciência e da Tecnologia (C&T) no Brasil, entre as décadas de 1970 e 1990. A partir da análise de uma série de documentos depositados no Museu de Astronomia e Ciências Afins (MAST) – arquivos institucionais e pessoais de cientistas –, foi possível identificar que a campanha de preservação do patrimônio científico organizada por um grupo de pesquisadores do Observatório Nacional, que culminou na criação do MAST, foi o fio condutor para destacar o distanciamento dos poderes públicos com as questões de Ciência e Tecnologia, assim como a movimentação dos grupos ligados à Ciência e Tecnologia perante políticas públicas para essa área durante o processo de mudança negociado para o retorno do Brasil ao regime democrático. Como resultado, conclui-se que a construção do patrimônio científico estava atrelada à afirmação da Ciência e Tecnologia como fundamental para o crescimento econômico, político e social do país. |
