| Resumen en inglés | The present article analyses the gender representations present in the children’s literature book called “The Cinderelo Prince”, by Babette Cole, edited by Martins Fontes. It is organized in three distinct, although articulated, parts. Firstly, I discuss some of the concepts on textual genders, emphasizing the narratives and the fairy tales. After that, I talk about about some ideas on the studies of the gender relations on which I base the last part of my paper, which is constituted of an essay analyzing the book referred above. In order to fundament and appreciate it, I lean on a post-structural perspective of analysis, recurring to post modern authores, such as Guacira Lopes Louro, Judith Butler, Joan Scott and Stuart Hall |
| Resumen en portugués | O presente artigo tem como objetivo analisar as representações de gênero presentes no livro de literatura infantil intitulado O príncipe Cinderelo, de autoria de Babette Cole, da editora Martins Fontes. Ele está organizado em três partes distintas, embora articuladas. Primeiramente, discuto alguns conceitos a respeito de gêneros textuais, enfatizando as narrativas e os contos de fadas. A seguir, discorro algumas idéias sobre os estudos das relações de gênero, usadas para embasar a última parte, um ensaio de análise da obra referida. Para tal fundamentação e apreciação apóio-me em uma perspectiva pós-estruturalista de análise recorrendo a autores pós-modernos como Guacira Lopes Louro, Judith Butler, Joan Scott e Stuart Hall |
