| Resumen en inglés | The article presents the profile characteristics of a visitor that either for business or professional reasons comes to Maracaibo. This is a decriptive qualitative and fiedl type study, with academy as well as tourism official agencies participation. Data were collected from applied surveys to segment of 366 people during April 2006-February 2007, accordin with the universe of 2015 visitors pertaining to reseach project "Urban Tourism Mesurement of Maracaibo Municipality, Tourist and Journes Charcteristics" held at tourist sites, and transportation and hotel facilities Among the results, there is a national, professional, demanding and loyal tourist that spends little, but highlights Maracaibo´s people hospitaity, among others |
