| Resumen en inglés | Nyctaginaceae species occur mainly in tropical and subtropical regions of the New World, have two great centers of the first distribution in the Neotropical region and the Caribbean. The second is found in arid western North America. In Brazil, the species living in all areas of the territory phytogeografic and Rio Grande do Sul, are found in most geomorphological regions of the state, in fields, forests hills, forests shallow, rainforests and some as cultivated. The study analyzes and evaluates the geographic distribution of the family Nyctaginaceae in Rio Grande do Sul The Nyctaginaceae were the richest in the region of the Depressão Central and the Planalto das Missões was the poorest. The highest floristic similarity was observed among the regions Planalto Sul- Riograndense and Planalto das Araucárias. | Resumen en portugués | As espécies de Nyctaginaceae ocorrem principalmente nas regiões tropicais e subtropicais do Novo Mundo, apresentam dois grandes centros de distribuição o primeiro na região Neotropical e no Caribe. O segundo é encontrado em zonas áridas da America do Norte ocidental. No Brasil, as espécies habitam em todos os domínios fitogeográficos do território e no Rio Grande do Sul, são encontradas na grande maioria das regiões geomorfológicas do estado, em campos, florestas de encostas, florestas de restingas, florestas úmidas e algumas como cultivadas. O estudo analisa e avalia a distribuição geográfica da família Nyctaginaceae no Rio Grande do Sul. As Nyctaginaceae apresentaram maior riqueza na região da Depressão Central e o Planalto das Missões foi a mais pobre. A maior similaridade florística foi verificada entre as regiões do Planalto Sul-Riograndense e Planalto das Araucárias. Os táxons desta família apresentaram quatro padrões de distribuição geográfica, definidos como: amplo, moderadamente amplo, restrito e muito restrito |
